SNAP stuck to the pattern mentioned in the brochure but the
section on Business Awareness was a major surprise since
most of the questions had nothing to do with “Business”
and instead concentrated on areas like physics, chemistry,
biology, sociology and the Indian Constitution.
The paper pattern is as follows:
Total number of sections : 5
Total Objective questions (5 sections) : 160
Mark for every correct answer : +1
Mark for every wrong answer: -1/4
Sections |
Description |
No. of questions |
Ideal no. of attempts |

An ideal number of attempts in
the objective part of this paper would be close to 90
to 100 with a strike rate of about 85 percent.
Expected Cutoffs
Till last year, SCMHRD used to
have separate cutoffs for Marketing, Finance, HR, etc.
This time students have not applied individually to
the separate areas. Hence students can expect calls
even at a net score of 67 plus for programs at SCMHRD
Pune. But if they are interested in Finance/ Marketing
only, they would need a score of around 75 plus. Similarly
the Nasik campus would call students even with a net
score of around 62 plus.
SIIB has a program in International Business as well
as a program in Logistics. While the cutoff for IB would
be around 65 plus, those interested in Logistics can
expect a call even at a score of 55.
Analysis
of Sections
Section-I
This section was easier than
anticipated and students with a good grasp of basics
would have found this section pretty easy to tackle.
A good score in this section would be 15 plus.
Section-II
This section was also very easy with only single line
graphs, bar graphs, etc. Even the questions on Data
Sufficiency were quite easy. Good students should have
attempted at least 25 questions and a good score in
this section would be 20 plus.
Section-III
This section had several different kinds of questions
including questions on cubes, syllogisms, series, and
logical puzzles. An ideal score in this section would
be close to 22 plus.
Section IV
The questions in this section were
quite easy and there were no questions on Reading Comprehension.
Instead the questions were from analogies, critical
reasoning, and fill-in-the-blanks. An ideal score in
this section would be anything more than 20plus.
Section V
This section was a real bouncer. Very few students could
be expected to know details about the largest flower
in the world or have an idea of the 1st animal domesticated
by man. This section was decidedly difficult and any
student attempting 15 or more questions should consider
himself/herself very good in general awareness.
