The following events are in the pipeline:
-
PAPER PRESENTATION - FINANCE
for Chrysalis-06
Topic 1: Micro Finance in India -
The Road Ahead
The paper should look into the future
as to what micro finance holds for banks in India, be
it public sector or private, and at the same time maintain
the profits of the bank.
Its time that bankers in India look
to increase their income from the rural sector. This
opportunity also rises from higher level of savings
coupled with the fact that people have high levels of
integrity and honesty. The presence of self-help groups
and NGOs has also paved the path for this situation.
Till now the micro finance was ill managed. But is the
scene set to change?
Topic 2: Bigger the Better -
Time for consolidation for Indian Banks
To survive in the future, banks
will have to expand their wings from the Indian village
to the global village. A small bank may not be able
to sustain the pressure of the market demands. Hence,
there has been an air for consolidation in the Indian
banking sector.
The paper should look at the implications
of merging smaller banks to form large banks. Also,
have a look at the future, as is there a large Indian
bank possible with a continental to fight off the heavy-duty
foreign banks.
PAPER PRESENTATION - MARKETING
for Chrysalis-06
Trends tell us that there are Brands
that are killed. Now here is an opportunity for you
to tell us how to revive these Brands. The objective
of the paper is to bring out an operational marketing
strategy for a brand that has been killed. The paper
should also look into the impact that the move would
have on the parent brand and the reasons for choosing
your particular brand for revival.
Two To Tango - HR Event
An HR game that is designed to bring
out the best of your inter-personal and people skills.
You will be required to put into practice all those
HR concepts you religiously absorbed in class. Match

your mettle in this battle of the titans.

so) Common Sense.

A true to earth team event if ever
there were one! The event consists of a crossword, a
first of its kind advertising round and the Grand Finale

at college, its activities and what makes it the no
1 choice for aspiring managers. 5 teams will be chosen
for a final presentation and the teams will have to
defend their ads.
The CORPORATE WALK
Here is your chance to walk the walk
and to talk the talk. This event crowns those gifted
few who have it all. Teams are required to do their
"corporate jingle jangle", clad in 'official'
corporate wear.
