The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode is the fifth Indian Institute of Management. Established in 1996 by the Government of India in collaboration with the Government of Kerala, it provides education, training, consulting and research facilities in management.

Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode seeks to achieve excellence and a leadership position in management education.

Courses offered

  1. Post graduate program in management: (PGP)

    The two year Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management is a full-time residential program for Graduates from all disciplines who wish to pursue a career in management.

Eligibility

  1. A Bachelor's degree (10+2+3 system) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE as eligible for Postgraduate studies OR an equivalent degree in Agriculture, Arts, Commerce, Engineering and Science.

     

  2. A minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in SSC/SSLC, or High School, Higher Secondary or Senior Cambridge or Recognized School Final Examination of any Board/University.

     

  3. Candidates appearing at the final bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or equivalent degree examinations are also eligible to apply provided they complete all their graduating requirements including practical examinations/assignments before June 30 of the proposed year of admission. Their admission will, however, be considered provisional until they produce their mark sheet satisfying the eligibility criterion. The time limit for submitting the graduating mark sheet is December 31 of the proposed year of admission.

     

  4. Open University graduates must show proof of minimum three years after class twelve and a certificate from the university equivalent to a bachelors degree.

     

  5. Diplomas like Hotel Management, Fashion Technology are not eligible unless equivalent certificates to a three year university degree are provided.

Foreign Students

A nonresident Indian or a foreign candidate is eligible to apply to 2-yr residential program PGDM.

The eligibility requirements are:

  1. A bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institute

     

  2. A high GMAT score and a consistently good academic record up to the Bachelor's degree level.

     

  3. TOEFL scores will also be required from non-English speaking countries.

Method of Teaching

The method of instruction is a blend of the lecture method and experiential learning methods such as case discussions, Group discussions and Projects, Role Plays, and simulation.

Fees and Expenses

Yearly expenses on tution, library, computer, teaching material and hostel accommodation presently total upto Rs.90,000 for the first year and Rs.1,00,000 for the second year. Other expenses including boarding will be extra.
