Recruitment of Assistant Professor

Applications in prescribed forms are invited from Indian Nationals separately for each of the following posts.

Maximum age limit is 50 years.

Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100- with AGP Rs. 6000/-

Minimum Qualifications and Experience for Assistant Professor in various Engineering & Technology Departments.
i) First Class Master’s degree in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
ii) Preference will be given for First Class Master’s and First Class Bachelor Degree holders in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
iii) Ph.Ds. in appropriate field of Engineering/ Technology will be given priority.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience in Humanities & Sciences Department.
i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with First Class or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii) Preference will be given for First Class Master’s and First Class Bachelor’s Degree holders.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience in Business Administration Department.
i) Ist Class Master’s degree in Business Management / Administration./ in a relevant management related discipline OR First Class in two year full time / three year parttime PGDM declared equivalent and accredited by AICTE / UGC.
ii) Preference will be given for First Class Master’s and First Class Bachelor’s degree holders in appropriate field of Business Management/Administration.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience in Computer Applications Department.
i) First Class in MCA or M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Computer Applications.
ii) Preference will be given for First Class Master’s and First Class Bachelor’s Degree holders.
iii) Ph.D. in Computer Applications/Computer Science will be given priority.

Application Fee :
A bank draft of Rs.200/- towards application fee be invariably sent alongwith the downloaded application form. The application Form and instructions Sheet can be had from 11.01.2010 from the office of Deputy Registrar (GA & Legal) on payment of Rs. 200/- by cash or by sending a Crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 250/- drawn in favour of Director, NIT, Kurukshetra payable at SBI, NIT, Kurukshetra (Code No.6260) alongwith a Self Addressed envelope (23x10 cm).
