Placements at IIT Madras (MBA) MBA at IIT Madras - The youngest B-school in the IIT clan has just completed its Placements season for its third batch – the MBA Class of 2005.The MBA programme at IIT Madras was started in the year 2001.Since the year of inception they claim to have been successful in getting 100% placements This Year (for the class of 2005), the average salary is 4.8 lacs as against 3.8 lacs last year.In a batch size of 38 students, the highest salary for this year stands at a whooping 7.4 lacs which is bagged by 4 students. Equally impressive are the pay packages received by most of the other students ;  8 students received pay packet of more than 6 lacs and 16 of them received a pay packet of  more than 5 lacs. Around 20 companies visited the campus including Ingersoll Rand, Bajaj Auto, TCS, GECIS, Infosys, GCIB Citigroup, MaFoi, Calsoft, HCL Comnet, Mindtree Avalon CARE. While systems stream has dominated the placements at IIT Madras there are also offers made in retailing ,analytics, supply chain, financial consulting, HR, etc..
